About Sky Music Nightly

Sky Music Nightly lets you play instruments from Sky: Children of the Light in your browser. It’s free and works on computers, phones and tablets. Songs you record or compose are saved in your browser.

Playing and learning songs

The Player lets you listen to existing songs and record your own. To learn a song, try the practice mode, which highlights the next notes and waits for you to press them. Approach mode uses circles to show you when to press a note so you can learn timing.

Use the Zen Keyboard for playing freely, it has a metronome too. It can also send your notes to a MIDI device. You can connect a MIDI keyboard to play the instruments here and customise its keys if needed.

Composing and exporting

In the Composer, you place notes on a grid to write a song. Use multiple layers for different instruments and set the pitch, volume and reverb for each one. When the song is ready, you can export it as a sheet, MIDI, WAV or MP3.

You can also import a MIDI file to adapt it to the game by adjusting the notes to fit. The Sheet Visualizer shows songs as sheets of notes or as text. You can print a sheet or save it as a PDF.

Other tools

In the VSRG Composer, you can make a rhythm beatmap from a song. Play the beatmaps in the VSRG Player.

You can change the colors and background in Themes. Use Backup to save your songs and themes together in one file.
